FindMeFriends: Concept for a social app for older adults

Loneliness is a problem faced by a lot of members of the aging community, regardless of whether they live alone or in care homes. They require companionship and increased social interaction to keep mentally and physically active. This is especially true when faced with situations like the current pandemic which makes it even harder for older adults to find companionship and support.

FindMeFriends is an app that aims to help tackle this problem. Designed specifically for older adults, the app can help people find new friends, groups and events to take part in, based on their interests and to provide support when they need it.

Target Users

The app has been designed specifically for older adults (60+) who live alone or are isolated from active society due to illness, physical limitations etc.
